Rebozo Wearing InstructionsRebozo Wearing Instructions The Bara Barn Knot Shawls come with written instructions for a front, hip and back carry (one shouldered) with a standard double knot. While that works great for some, many like the versitility of being able to adjust the knot in a sling carry, or use a two shoulder back carry. Hopefully these instructions will give you more options for using your Bara Barn, or any Rebozo length wrap. Please remember to always make sure that your baby is secure, as you are responsible for their safety. Sailors Knot This is a standard sailors knot. It works well as it allows the wearer to adjust the tightness of the sling by ajusting either rail seperately, or the whole wrap. I have used two different wraps knotted together so that it would be easier to show the bottom tail (blue) and shoulder tail (black). The shoulder tail (black) should be longer than the bottom one (blue), as this should make them come out about even when done.
Step 1: Fold the bottom tail in half to make a pouch (you can see my hand inside the pouch), and then cross it in front of the shoulder tail. Step 2: Wrap the bottom tail around behind the shoulder tail and up towards your opposite shoulder. Step 3: Then bring the bottom tail down over the front of the pouch / bottom tail. Notice hand holding the bottom tail. Keep it in this position for the next step. Step 4: With your other hand, bring the bottom tail behind the shoulder tail, keeping an open loop with the hand you did not move. Step 5: Still holding the loop open, take the bottom tail end and cross it in front of the shoulder tail and through the loop. Step 6: Tighten the knot enough so that you can put weight in the pouch, but not so tight that you cannot slide it up and down the shoulder rail. Step 7: Now spead out the pouch. At this point you can put baby in the pouch and do final adjustments with the shoulder tail. Note that until this point your have not touched the shoulder tail. The whole knot is made by tieing the bottom tail around the shoulder tail. Once adjusted, tighten the knot so that the shoulder rail does not slip. TIPS:
